Curriculum Vitea

Painter and graphic artist Filip T.A.K., real name Tadeusz Andrzej Krawczyszyn, was born 1953 in Wroclaw, Poland.
After graduating from a restoration school in Poznan he worked in the local state theatre as a set designer.
In 1974 he settled in Žďár upon Sazava where he remained for 20 years while studying with Peter Brazda and in Brno's Conservatory with prof. Peter Skacel. After a working visit of USA he settled in Havlickova Borova.
T.A.K. has been showing his works in Czech Republic as well as abroad.
His works are represented in many private collections in Europe, asia and North America,. Some works are in the state collections in Czech Republic.

Filip T.A.K. is a person with an odd name as well as destiny. In the middle of the Czech-Moravian highlands he creates quite extraordinary works. He is no doubt an excellent craftsman full of internal determination. His amazing talent allows him of translating visual images into his works. His scenes are sometimes composed of fragments of reality forming a new whole,; other times he works with pure abstracts maintaining classic principles, keeping balance and harmony in the composition.

For the artist the human body is quite important, however it sometimes transforms into a symbol.
Equally important is its framework, the landscape. This uniform foundation lays groundwork for spatial relationships, which are grotesquely stylized and colourfully overstated. This hyperbole has no existential or expressive background but is a reflection of the artist's playful commentary of the absurdity of the daily routine.

Lately, Filip T.A.K. is recasting outside forms into an irregular ornament made of colour patches. Often the same motive is repeated with different forms and colour. His free hand sketches take a form a dairy, in which the author notes his artistic fantasies a personal experiences.

His works are evolving dynamically so that the viewers of his new pieces are exposed to an inspiring experience. It is astonishing to see his ability for continuous rediscovery. His motivation is probably a desire for original works, appreciated by the public interest and individual interpretation by us, the viewers.
